St Leonard’s
The parish church of St Leonard’s is situated in an elevated position in the main square of Pallanza only 300m from the villa.
The Renaissance style church was built between 1537 and 1590, though the 65m high bell tower and the cupola were not finished until 1689. The simple façade of the church is offset by the wide terrace in front.

Madonna in Campagna
This church is one of the most beautiful on the lake. It is only 2 km from the villa and is easily accessible with adjacent parking space.
The church was built in the first half of the 16th century on the site of a previous Romanesque church. The bell tower is all that remains of the earlier edifice. The gable roof is in white stone from the Val d’Ossola region.

San Remigio
This church is situated in a very out of the way spot at the highest point of the Castagnola peninsula from where it has a lovely view if the lake.
The church itself unites all the best
characteristics of Romanesque architecture.

Santa Croce (Ghiffa)
A delightful little Baroque church on the lake shore. One can get to the villa from here with a 20 minute motorboat ride along the picturesque Castagnola peninsula.

Santuario della SS. Trinità (Ghiffa)
Built on the old walls of an ancient oratory dating back to XII-XIII century, subject to successive restructuring work, this sanctuary is found is found at the slopes of Monte Carciago. Surrounded by the green area of Sacro Monte, the Sanctuary boasts a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore.
